Professional Background
Er. K. Soundararajan, B.E., F.I.E. is a highly accomplished civil engineer with over 36 years of experience in public infrastructure development.
A retired Assistant Engineer from the Public Works Department, Government of Puducherry, he has significantly contributed to major civil engineering projects such as the construction of the Puducherry Secretariat, multiple academic blocks at Pondicherry Engineering College, and critical urban and rural water supply and sewerage systems.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NIT Surathkal, a Diploma in Concrete Technology from Annamalai University, and is a Member of the Institution of Engineers (India).
His expertise spans across building infrastructure, wastewater treatment, and sustainable urban planning, with key involvements in nationally recognized schemes like JNNURM, AMRUT, and Smart City projects. His leadership and technical acumen continue to guide the Puducherry State Centre of IEI in its engineering initiatives.

Our focus continues to be on bridging the gap between traditional engineering practices and emerging technologies. We are actively promoting sustainable engineering solutions, digital transformation, and capacity building programs that prepare our members for future challenges.
